Trauma Coaching PTSD.

Trauma coaching is working with the mental processing, and working with the emotional response which leads to physical disharmony caused from a past or current experience.

Its important to understand the “The Sensory System” to then work with and manage the physiological responses so we can then calm the emotional state down. Techniques will be taught which allow a person to grieve whilst working through their mental, emotional and physical trauma and effects.

If a person is in a state of trauma a process can be applied to bring them out of the thought processes causing overwhelm of emotions. A technique will be applied and taught to bring their attention to a physical part of their body to allow concentration to that area whilst essential breath work is carried out. Its important to bring thought from external or internal down through the body to be internally present mindfully.

This calms the central nervous system which in turn relaxes the peripheral nervous response.

Once we have gone through this process we can create a safe, calm and managed space to allow internal healing with self management tools to move forward.

Grounding and breath work are mindful strategies used, from here it is essential to teach processes to take control for when the person may go into an undesired state in my absence.

Once the effects of the trauma is managed and learned we can then start coaching through the trauma.

Accountability Coaching.

Accountability coaching is setting an accountability program in place, with daily targets so clients are working towards their desired outcome.

It is a support system that encourages clients to motivate themselves to create results.

Since procrastination is something that we all can experience for variable reasons having someone to hold you accountable can help you achieve your goals.

Having someone to hold you accountable gives you the support & structure that you need to get you to that ‘ next ‘ task, which is one step closer to the desired outcome.

Identity Coaching.

Life is all about transitions, and some of those transitions can unsettle our identity as we perceive it.

Identity coaching is often for those who have been a carer, have gone through a bereavement, marriage breakdown, loss of job or, redundancy.

Perhaps they have just become an empty nester or, they have just become divorced… even those who may have been adopted.

All of these factors can lead to an identity shift, as the person that they ‘knew’ is no longer the person that they believed themselves to be

Because of the changes and adaptions that they experience it can leave them feeling insecure, vulnerable and uncertain of where they fit in. They often can wonder what their purpose is, or what their significancy to others in life is.

By pulling out their capabilities, looking at their ‘likes’, skills and reflecting on their passions, we can explore & expand on possibilities of what could be.
